An Arizona woman was arrested today on suspicion of crashing an SUV packed with illegal immigrants as she fled from U.S. Border Patrol agents, killing four of her passengers and injuring seven others, the Associated Press reports.
Casa Grande police arrested Angela Celaya Gonzalez, 29, on four counts of second-degree murder the same day she was released from a Phoenix hospital where she was treated for injuries from the crash, AP says.
Bond was set at $2 million. Gonzalez is accused of crashing the SUV into a wall while fleeing agents Wednesday. Gonzalez is accused of trying to smuggle the group into the United States.
